letSeat is an idea I had for an app that brings people together over meals. I'll continue to post updates here as I work on it.

Here’s my initial notes, stream of consciousness thinking through possibilities for letSeat. Notes taken on an iPad pro. I started creating some wireframes in Sketch and ended up with something between wireframes and actual design.

Started exploring the actual design a little more, but to be honest, didn’t make much headway. Including this because sometimes it’s good to see process even if it’s not progress.

Took some time to really dive into how I wanted letSeat to feel. Going for something of a “healthy Uber” feel, if that makes sense? Users can move around the map to see who is nearby and ready to eat within a specific time window. Selected users are highlighted and shown on the bottom cards. Will probably make these cards larger in the next iteration. I looked at Airbnb for inspiration here.
I also added a sidebar menu accessed by tapping on your profile image or swiping from the left edge of the screen. I was going to do a bottom swipe up interface, but with the iPhone X and other phones relying on that same gesture to access native functions, I decided against it. It’s kind of empty at the moment, but I plan to add links here to access other (secondary) features.
